Life at Steinn.

A small, fully remote team that runs on ownership and trust. No micromanagement, no hire fast fire fast churn, and no treating grown engineers like children.

Fully remote, on purpose

Everyone at Steinn works remotely. Our founders are in Dubai and our engineers are in Pune, and the company was never designed around an office. What holds us together is the work, clear written communication, and showing up for each other when it matters.

Remote only works if you hire people who can run with it. So that is what we look for.

Ownership, not micromanagement

We don't micromanage. Nobody counts your hours, checks whether you are online, or asks for daily status updates. You get a real problem, the context you need, and the trust to own it end to end.

Ownership here means you figure out what needs building, you build it, and you make sure it actually works once real users touch it. When you are stuck, you say so early and the whole team leans in. That is the deal both ways.

Lean, by choice

We stay small and stay lean. We don't follow a hire fast, fire fast culture; we would rather hire slowly, keep the team tight, and keep every person for the long run.

A lean team means less coordination overhead, fewer meetings, and more time doing the actual work. It also means every person here has a real impact on what we ship and how we grow.

Adults, treated as adults

We treat adults as adults. That means flexible schedules, honest conversations, and no theatre: no performative busyness, no approval chains for small decisions, no policing how people spend their day.

In return, we expect quality work. Trust and standards go together. People who want both tend to do the best work of their careers here.
