3. What the DIFC is
The Dubai International Financial Centre is a financial free zone in Dubai with its own legal system, based on English common law, its own courts, and its own regulatory and data protection framework, separate from the UAE onshore civil law system.
Companies registered there are regulated by the DIFC Authority and the Dubai Financial Services Authority, depending on their activity, and they contract under DIFC company law and DIFC contract law.
We chose this jurisdiction because clients in financial services, healthcare, and regulated industrial sectors ask for a counterparty whose governance, contracting, and dispute resolution sit inside a written, court-backed framework rather than an informal arrangement.
4. What incorporation here means for you
A single, identifiable legal entity. You contract with Steinn AI Labs Limited, a DIFC-registered company with a published registration number and registered office, not with a freelancer or an undisclosed intermediary.
A defined governing law. Engagements are governed by DIFC law with the DIFC Courts available, so both sides know the forum before a disagreement arises rather than after.
A named data protection position. Our processing is supervised by the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection under the DIFC Data Protection Law, which sets out the lawful bases, retention, security, and individual rights we work to, described in our Privacy Policy.
Written accountability. Access, approvals, and handback are recorded so that a client's own audit can follow who did what, when, and on whose authority.
5. Verifying our registration
You do not have to take this page on trust. We will provide, on request and at no cost:
- a copy of our commercial license showing the license number and the permitted activities;
- a certificate of registration or incorporation showing the registration number and the registered office;
- confirmation in writing of the entity you are about to contract with, so an invoice, a purchase order, and a signed agreement all name the same company;
- the contact details of our registered address for formal notices.
The DIFC publishes general information about the Centre and its framework at www.difc.ae, where you can also see how registrations there are structured and supervised.
6. What this page does not claim
Registration is a statement of legal identity. It is not a quality endorsement, and it does not mean any authority has reviewed, approved, or recommended our work.
We are not a bank, an insurance company, a regulated financial institution, a law firm, or a clinical services provider, and we do not hold ourselves out as one.
We do not claim certification against the standards our practice follows. Where we say we work to ISO/IEC 25010, OWASP ASVS, NIST AI RMF, or WCAG 2.2, we mean our practice is aligned to them, not that an accredited body has audited us.
The details on this page describe our corporate position as at the date above. They are not an offer, a warranty of our financial standing, and not advice on your own regulatory obligations.
7. Governing law and disputes
Contractual matters are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre, with the DIFC Courts as the forum, as set out in our Terms and Conditions.
Privacy matters are handled under our Privacy Policy, and a data subject can raise a concern with us first and then with the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection.
