Magpie is a self-hosted AI governance platform built by Steinn Labs for DIFC and ADGM-regulated fintechs, helping teams meet DFSA Regulation 10 requirements without sending data outside their infrastructure.

In 2024 and 2025, regulators in the DIFC and ADGM began requiring licensed financial firms to identify, document, and oversee autonomous systems. DFSA Regulation 10 introduced the Autonomous Systems Officer, a named individual responsible for AI risk. Most compliance tooling was built for cloud-first SaaS buyers, not for banks and fintechs that cannot move model data outside their perimeter.
We built Magpie because the regulated clients we were advising needed a governance layer that fit their architecture, not the other way around. Self-hosted was the non-negotiable design choice from the first commit.
